The Airport of Cozumel is located on 65 Avenida and Boulevard Aeropuerto, less than a 5 minute drive to the downtown area.

Airport to hotel transportation is concessioned to private companies for better service and they use only Vans. (No taxis are available at the airport). A good way to cheat the system is to walk out of the airport to the main avenue which is about 200 feet away, there you will have good chance of finding a taxi which is faster and will charge you less than the airport transportation.

You can also rent a car at the airport, or have it delivered to you with a previous reservation. If you do have car, all you need to do is get a printed local guide of the island or print our maps to find your way around. Driving in Cozumel is very easy.

CANCUN AIRPORT

If you arrive at Cancun International Airport and you need to get to Cozumel from Cancun is by land. You need to take an authorized yellow white and black airport taxi to Playa del Carmen and take the Ferry to Cozumel; this will take about 45 minutes.

The taxi ride to Playa del Carmen will cost you around 60 usd. To take one of these authorized taxis, go to any of the TTC kiosks located around the terminal and buy a ticket. The guys at the airport are happy to help you find other people heading to Playa, so that you can share the fare.

In Playa del Carmen the Ferry pier is located 2 blocks away from were you will get out of the car or bus from Cancun, and the ferries sail to Cozumel almost every hour on the hour from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
